These days are service learning opportunities for all middle school students to discover God’s heart for serving people through Bible study and real life experience. These days allow students to share hope with those in need throughout our community, while learning to see the world from the window of God’s perspective. When this happens, life change is inevitable! Meet at church for a devotional before going to serve. We will end our time debriefing at a restaurant.
Because space is limited, each student may register for no more than two Make a Difference Days and one sports camp, with the exception of Rock The Church worship team which has no limit. Once a Make a Difference Day is full you may register on the waitlist and will be contacted if space becomes available for your student.

You will be given your own Oasis t-shirt when you arrive to wear and keep (unless you already have one, then please come wearing it). This is the neighborhood outreach that our church puts on every summer for all the children and their friends who live nearby. The middle school has been given the privilege of sharing the hope of Christ through leading the daily worship times. This summer’s Rock the Church presents Gadgets & Gizmos. The children’s imaginations will be captured through an exciting array of teaching, worship and activities as they discover how they are made by God, for a relationship with Jesus, and made to love others. Worship team practice is required on Sunday, July 16 from 9:00-10:45am.
Other opportunities to make a difference in the life of a child during this week include: teaching team, small group leader, craft and game assistant leaders. If you are interested in these opportunities, please contact Kristy Kratky or Meaghan Berry.
Come catch the waves with us at Minnesota’s only wave pool! Swim, splash and body surf ocean style waves, as well as, sliding down the two towering water slides! theatrical production and acquire valuable performance skills. Friends and families are invited to enjoy the performance on Thursday at 4:00pm. Mathilda Elrod, a theater major at North Hennepin Community College, and Darwin Graser will be leading and teaching this fun and bonding class.
CIA (Christians-In-Action) is the name of the Oasis Student Servant Leadership team. This year it is open to any incoming 8th grade students that want to serve God, make a difference in the lives of others, and grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus. This “Mission Possible” training day is all about team building, leadership equipping and deepening unity. Students will learn a lot about God’s Word, assess their God-given “Spark” and revisit their spiritual gifts. This training will prepare them for ministry this coming school year and for growing spiritually by getting involved in gender specific discipleship groups called “GUTS.” Wear casual clothes and tennis shoes. Cost includes both lunch, dinner, escape house adventure and training supplies.
Note: If you are currently on the CIA or would like to be, but cannot make this training day, please contact Toni Sather for make-up instructions and application.
